Website update & plans of remake

Hey everyone, I’ve just updated the website with my newest project!

While I love the look and aesthetic I have going for this website, I have to admit that internally it is a very big mess. I was very new using a framework like Astro, so I think it was inevitable. I barely knew how to put together well-made, modular components & I still didn’t understand or get the point of frameworks like Tailwind.

This basically led the website to become a clusterf*ck. While I could probably put up with remaking the components themselves, the Styles on this website are something else. It’s a combination of styles inside the Layouts, some are in components, and some are just inline css inside a <p>. Needless to say, it’s beyond refactoring.

I really want to believe that my web development skills have improved ever since I made this website almost 2 years ago so, in the following week(s), I’ll be reworking this website from the ground-up using the best practices I’ve learnt so far.

As a side note, I wanted to showcase a website I worked on mostly myself: remotecord.app
